Joe Cohen, MBA

Partner, Finance & Business Intelligence

Joe Cohen currently serves as a Partner and practice leader of the Finance and Business Intelligence Services for 9Gauge Partners in Austin, Texas.  In this role, he works with a variety of clients to drive performance and effectiveness in financial planning, analysis and reporting, as well as process engineering. Joe is an ace troubleshooter and repairman of existing models, but his real gift is in using multi-divisional input and existing systems to create new, integrated and repeatable processes that manage assets, measure profitability, and accurately analyze and robustly report company performance and metrics resulting in customized reporting packages for investors, board members and executives.

Basia Cohen works with clients to drive high performance and effectiveness in financial operations and reporting with a focus on improving processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.  As Director of Financial Advisory Services, Basia excels at Revenue Reconciliation streamlining processes for increased automation, error reduction, and reduced monthly close cycles.  She utilizes her Big Four firm experience to manage annual external audits, including proactively identifying accounting issues and focusing on pre-audit preparation for dramatically increased efficiencies.

Arun Prakash

Prakash brings fifteen years of investment and operational leadership experience to 9Gauge. Prakash led numerous strategic, financial, and operational initiatives for portfolio companies, including serving as CFO of multiple companies, transforming all aspects of operations, and leading the acquisition and sale of multiple companies. Prakash works directly with 9Gauge’s private equity, venture capital, and corporate acquirer clients to advise and execute on post-close improvements, integration, divestments and various strategic initiatives.
