Austin, TEXAS – This past Friday, August 18th, 9Gauge hosted a Volunteer Day at Mainspring School in South Austin. Mainspring School, a nonprofit preschool that eliminates the early childhood school readiness gap for low-income children, hosted their annual Graduation Day to celebrate their students’ achievements at the end of the school year. Therefore, we thought it would be fun to make this day even better for them.
Nearly a dozen 9Gaugers offered their morning to help facilitate this day for the children. The team arrived brightly dressed in our signature ‘9Gauge Orange’ Tees with cheerful smiles all around. Using plenty of tape, cardboard boxes, balloons, and aluminum foil, our team transformed their library into a futuristic scene that included robots in the back drop. By the end of the morning, the children loved how the group were on hand making their graduation special. Each of them had their own unique cap, as well as some other foil crafts, to send them off into their new Kindergarten school year.
This was the second year for 9Gauge to help with the event. Working with the Mainspring students and staff was such a memorable experience for us. We are excited to come back again next year for their next graduation. Good luck high school class of 2031!
