AUSTIN, Texas — 9Gauge Partners, a national management consulting firm, is expanding business and has named Ross Mesquita as Director of Business Development. He will lead sales efforts in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
Ross brings substantial industry experience to the firm with more than 20 years of success in sales, leadership, and business development. He led teams that engaged over 300 consultants and generated over $100M in annual revenue. Ross’ career features key roles at RGP, Enron, and various banking and consulting companies.
Ross is a board member at the nonprofit All Community Outreach (ACO), an organization that helps neighbors and friends facing homelessness, hunger, and financial crisis in his hometown of Allen and across Collin County, Texas.

The following is our interview with Ross, who describes his experiences and vision for 9Gauge:
9Gauge: What interested you about 9Gauge that made you want to join the company?
Ross: I was introduced to 9Gauge’s founder Brian White through a mutual business contact. I was very impressed with the story that Brian shared about 9Gauge, mainly he and his leadership team’s focus on the company’s core values – People, Passion, Integrity, Excellence, Relationships, and Value. At the time I met Brian, I had already decided to leave RGP, but I had not yet decided what I wanted to do next. That said, I did know that company culture would be the most important criterion as I evaluated the next step in my career. Brian asked me to visit with Jonathan Hines, and we clicked during that first call; our discussion continued over the next several weeks that helped me decide that 9Gauge was the place I wanted to be.
9Gauge: More specifically, what do you believe is the value in 9Gauge’s delivery model and service offering?
Ross: When working with a client, we view ourselves as an extension of the client’s team – meaning that our approach is extremely collaborative and customized. We communicate often and effectively, ensuring a “no surprises” approach to each client interaction.
